According to a report published in Japan’s Best Car Magazine, Nissan is planning to release three electric cars in the US market from next week.
At least one of the vehicles, to go on sale August 2, will be an SUV, similar in size to that of the Nissan Rogue (sold as Dualis in Australia).
The report says the electric SUV will measure 4165mm in length and will have a cruising range in excess of 160 kilometres.
Other variants are believed to be a competitor to Mitsubishi’s iMiEV and an electric version of the Nissan Versa (sold here as Tiida).
Nissan has previously said it intends to sell more than five million EV units on the mass market by 2012.
